Turnout was great, we had some awesome matches. J.C., Oscar and the crew were all there filming and doing their thing as they commented on the fights live.
Hopefully we will all see those fights up on  soon.

Play N Trade SFIV Tournament Results for March 17th 2010

Last Updated: 3/22/10 @ 10:30a.m.
First of all I would like to thank the wonderful people at Play N Trade for hosting such an awesome event.
And a shout out to all you guys that made it to the event, thanks for supporting the true King of Fighting games SFIV, and its local community.

only took this picture of the event, a very bad one might I add :s

14 Players ended up participating in the event. Almost all of Laredo’s Top known players were present at the event.

The single elimination format brought out the best of everyone! It was do or die, take no prisoners competitive action this Wednesday night.

The event was recorded, and most of it was broadcasted live on our webpage.
While we did have some technical difficulties with the video recording. We were able to capture most of the matches. You can view them here:

from comments:

3 Videos are now online at:
Featuring commentary from YetiAntics & the debut of Mr LeCrow.

A hopeful addition to the SSFIV community.
The three matches are as follows:
MIKEYBOY956 v XxSynxX (Qtr Finals)
XxSynxX v dragula96 (Semifinals)
dragula96 v Victor (Finals)
Thanks for the contribution guys!
More footage might be on its way thanks to Alex  Benitz (XxTano87xX) who had a handy cam and his PS3 at the scene which saved us from having to just play with the default unlocked characters.
Joel Sauceda (Kasprarov 2851) was keeping tabs on player win/losses to update the player rankings list (thanks buddy).

Now for the Tournament Results:
Dragula96 Took home First Prize while
Victor T.  came in a very very close second.
Julio De Hoyos (XxSynxX) placed 3rd.

Here are the Player ratings (before and After) list for the people that participated at this Tourney that Joel composed.

Hakan: Final SSFIV Character Revealed

Capcom has revealed the final new character for Super Street Fighter IV, and he's ... well, he's a giant dude covered in oil. Like, Hakan actually oils himself up before each round. This has the aesthetic effect of being extraordinarily off-putting, and the functional effect of allowing him to slide across the stage as if it were the Crocodile Mile. And since he's a grappling-type character, you get these really great squishing noises whenever he grabs another character.
